The core application of tantalum (Ta) granular evaporation material is to utilize its extremely high melting point (2996°C), 

excellent corrosion resistance, and stable electrical properties to prepare high-performance thin films or 

additives in semiconductors, optical devices, and high-temperature alloys through electron beam evaporation 

and other methods.


Applications:

Semiconductors and Microelectronics:

High-dielectric-constant gate dielectrics: Formed by oxidation to create tantalum pentoxide (Ta₂O₅) thin films, 

used as high-k gate dielectric layers or capacitor dielectrics.


Optical Coatings:

1. High-refractive-index optical thin films: Alternating deposition with low-refractive-index materials (such as SiO₂) to 

form multilayer antireflective (AR) films, high-reflectivity films, or spectrophotometers.


2. Infrared reflective/protective layers: Used for protective or reflective coatings in satellite solar panels 

and infrared optical devices.
